heyMemo Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the maker of heyMemo ("we", "us") about your use of the heyMemo app, its chat bots and related services ("heyMemo"). By using heyMemo you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use heyMemo.

1. What heyMemo does

heyMemo saves things you send it (links, reels, posts, photos and notes) from the heyMemo app, your phone's share menu, and heyMemo's bots on Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger. It uses AI to name, summarize, tag and organize them, lets you search them, and answers questions about them.

2. Your account

• You need an account to use heyMemo. You must be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
• Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
• Connect only chat accounts that are yours.

3. Your content

• You own what you save. We don't claim ownership of your links, photos, notes or anything else you send to heyMemo.
• So that heyMemo can work, you give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only in order to run heyMemo for you. That includes sending it to the service providers named in our Privacy Policy (for example, AI providers that sort and search your items). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from routine backups that expire.
• Only save content you have the right to save. When you save someone else's post or reel, heyMemo stores a link, caption and preview image for your personal reference; the original remains theirs.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use heyMemo to:

• save, share or distribute content that is illegal, or that exploits or harms children;
• infringe other people's rights, including copyright and privacy;
• harass anyone, or share other people's private information without permission;
• send spam to heyMemo's bots, or try to overload, break into, or reverse-engineer heyMemo;
• get around any usage limits.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. AI features

heyMemo's names, summaries, tags, text read from images and assistant answers are generated automatically and may be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important (dates, amounts, addresses, documents) against the original. Don't rely on heyMemo for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.

6. Shared tags

When you share a tag or add items to a shared tag, everyone in that tag can see those items. Only invite people you trust. You can remove your items from a shared tag, leave it, or stop sharing it at any time. The person who saved an item stays responsible for it.

7. Other services

heyMemo works with services we don't control, including Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, Google and Apple. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. If one of them changes or stops working, parts of heyMemo may change or stop working too.

8. Free use and partners

• heyMemo is free, with no paid plans. To protect the service from automated abuse, there is a daily maximum of saves per account, well above normal use, and we may limit use that looks automated or abusive.
• heyMemo may show partner links and clearly labelled sponsored suggestions, and may earn a commission from purchases made through them. Purchases and bookings you make with a partner are between you and that partner, under their terms.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using heyMemo and delete your data at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we have to for legal reasons. If we shut heyMemo down, we'll try to give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

10. Disclaimers

heyMemo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that heyMemo will always be available, error-free, or that saved content will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything critical.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or lost profits arising from your use of heyMemo. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for heyMemo in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you haven't paid anything. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using heyMemo after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
